Ceramic Cat Figure - Calico (Seconds)
Ceramic cat figure, slip cast in stoneware using an original mold. The piece was fired twice, first to around 1900, then handpainted and fired again to approximately 2100¡F with a glossy overglaze. Hand-painted details include little paws on the bottom. Finished with a bow and functional mini bell, measures approx 2.75" tall and 2" wide. Due to the slip casting process, the figure is hollow w/ a hole in the bottom.
"Seconds" quality pieces have small flaws and are available at a discount. In this case, some of the glazing around the ears is imperfect.
